Varanasi is one of the
holiest cities in India for Hindus and one of the ancient cities in the world and
it’s called as “City of Temples”. When I was visited Varanasi (also called as
Kashi), I was really shocked to see how many temples are there. And every temple
tells you a story and history of Hinduism.
One of the attractions at Varanasi/ Kashi is
Ganga (River Gange) Arthi
which is basically an offering (Pooja) to various Hindu gods (Agni, Sun (Surya), Earth (Bhudevi), Varuna
(Water),Wind, and Goddess Ganges ).
Ganga Arthi timings in the summer is 7 PM and in the winters, it’s at 6 PM. Generally Arthi lasts for 45 mins. When I was visited Varanasi I have captured a videowhich is uploaded to YouTube

Honestly I say that all these temples
requires well maintenance to attract more tourists and it’s a great opportunity
for Indian/ State government to attract tourist and help locals with jobs.
Interestingly Indian Prime Minister is representing the Varanasi constituency
in parliament but surprised to see the situation of Varanasi (Hygiene) and he
could do more.
· Dasaswamedh Ghat
· Kashi Vishwanath Temple,
· Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple
· Durga Mandir
· Bharat Mata Mandir,
· Tulsi Manas Mandir.[
· Parshvanath Jain temple:
· Manikarnika Ghat
· The Jain Ghat
Interestingly there are 15 mosques in same
City and that makes India as true diverse country
Some of the other temples/Ghats to visit in
Banaras (Varanasi)
Here are some of the pics I have captured in
Varanasi.
