Recently I
have updated my Samsung galaxy s2 phone firmware (operating system) to Android
4.1.2 Jelly Bean. This is really cool, after upgrade, I see my phone performance
(speed) has increased.
As part of the
upgrade, it will add new features/applications and delete some of the
applications.
Social Hub,
Polaris office, Photo Editor and vide o maker applications are deleted and
these will be available to download manually from Samsung Apps.
Google Hangout
(Gtalk upgraded version), Group Cast, Play Magazines are some of the apps will
be added as part of the upgrade.
In this blog post, I would like to explain
steps to perform Android update.
1.
On
Samsung Galaxy S2, go to navigate to Settings –About device
2.
Next
click on “Software Update” and then click on “Update”.
3.
You
will see following screen. Accept the screen and it will update the firmware on
your Android smart phone.
Just to note,
firmware size is 428 MB so make sure that you upgrade software when you are
connected n WI-FI and your phone is enough charged.
